The National Business and Economics Society is a multi-disciplinary academic and professional organization which focuses on promoting interdisciplinary research of both a theoretical and practical nature. It includes scholars and practitioners from the fields of Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Information Systems, Operations Research, Economics, Public Administration, Psychology and other related areas. Our goal is to broaden the expertise of business school academics and practitioners by promoting access to research and ideas in all disciplines.
Related to this, NBES will sponsor an annual conference where interested academics and professionals can present their ideas and research. These meetings will be held in late February or early March in very desirable locations. We believe that NBES will fill a void that currently exists in this area. We are committed to a meeting atmosphere that is high quality in terms of academic presentations as well as the hotels and facilities. Each year the conference sights will shift geographically to accommodate our membership. They will always be far south of the Mason-Dixon Line!
Proceedings of the conference will be published. In addition we are hoping to launch regional associations and conferences as our organization grows in size.
The National Business and Economics Society also has a strategic alliance with the Journal of Applied Business & Economics (JABE). JABE is dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of business and economic knowledge. This would include marketing, management, finance, accounting, MIS, OM, economics and any of these disciplines in an international context. The focus of submitted articles should be on applications and implications of business, management and economics. JABE is a refereed journal with a blind review process and indexed with major e-sources such as Proquest and EBSCOhost. Outstanding conference papers are always invited to publish in JABE.
